NS28 Marina South Pier MRT Station is the newest station to be added in the Singapore MRT network. Situated right below it’s namesake, it is the new terminus for North South Line trains.
Marina South Pier was built to replace the Clifford Pier as its access to the sea will be blocked by the Marina Barrage. It serves regular ferry services to Kusu and St John Islands, as well as charter harbour launches to other outlying islands and ships docked in various anchorages.
There are two exits at Marina South Pier MRT Station, on either side of the pier building. It also links to the Marina Bay Cruise Centre via a covered walkway.
As with almost all new stations, Art-In-Transit is also included in the design of the station. The artwork entitled “Past. Transition. Present” features both old and new landmarks in Singapore and is made up of old EZ-Link cards.

Platform B is for alighting passengers only. The train uses a scissors crossover located after the headwall of Platform B towards the overrun, and returns to Platform A for boarding passengers.
It looks like an oversight by LTA as the usual “Next Train Out” signs located at terminal stations where both platforms are for boarding and alighting are installed as well.
