Similar to the exhibition held at the Marina Bay Sands in Singapore last year, the Japanese High Speed Rail Shinkansen Exhibition by JR East is now in Kuala Lumpur at the Pavilion!
The information panels describe the history of the Shinkansen, successful overseas export models and the latest Shinkansen running in Japan currently.
It is good to note that the Shinkansen in Japan has operated for 52 years so far with 0 fatalities and 0 accidents caused by human error.
HO scale models of past and present Shinkansen.
The most interesting attraction has to be the E5 simulator. Each visitor will get to try the beginner version of the simulator which teaches you basic controls of the train, and the simulator will automatically correct any mistake you made, just like the real train. A little too simplified for my liking though.
The Japanese High Speed Rail Shinkansen Exhibition at Pavilion KL is open from 10am to 10pm daily at Tokyo Street, Level 6, until the end of August.
