The Shuttle Timur is an all-stop local service along the KTM Intercity East Coast Line. I took a short ride on 56up to Tumpat to connect to the Ekspres Rakyat Timuran, so that I can ride the full route of the train back down to JB Sentral.

The fare from Wakaf Bharu to Tumpat is RM1.

Passing the Wakaf Bharu railway crossing, looking towards Kota Bharu. Note that the buses to Kota Bharu will not pass by this road. Click here for more details.

The interior of the Shuttle Timur. The train is made up of 1 ASC and 2 AEC coaches, of which I rode on the ASC despite it being the least comfortable since it was just a short ride and the door of this coach stopped in front of me at Wakaf Bharu.

Passing through open fields, since all the jungle would be inland rather than near Tumpat and the sea.

The train makes a brief stop at Kampung Kok Pasir Halt for a few passengers to embark and disembark.

More open fields.

Arrived at Tumpat on time.
