KTM Intercity Service Disruption (Issued 25 January 2017)

All services are restored since 10pm on 1 February 2017.

All KTM Intercity services with the exception of the Shuttle Tebrau are disrupted in one way or another due to floods in Segamat (KM590.25) and Tanjung Sekawin (Kuala Lipis) (KM220.5). Listed below are the disrupted trains (which is all the trains) and the respective arrangements:

26up Ekspres Rakyat Timuran: Train service is available from JB Sentral to Kluang only, thereafter transhipment bus services are available for destinations between Kluang and Tumpat. UPDATE (27 Jan 2017): Train services are restored on the Southern Sector.

27dn Ekspres Rakyat Timuran: Train service is available from Tumpat to Krai, thereafter transhipment bus services are available to Kluang and destinations in between, and thereafter train service is available from Kluang to JB Sentral. UPDATE (27 Jan 2017): Train services are restored on the Southern Sector. 

Ekspres Selatan (all trains): There is no train service between Kluang and Gemas/Pulau Sebang (Tampin) due to floods. Train service is available between JB Sentral and Kluang, thereafter transhipment bus services are provided for destinations between Kluang and Gemas. Passengers to and from Batang Melaka and Pulau Sebang (Tampin) are most likely transhipped by a close-timing ETS service. UPDATE (27 Jan 2017): Train services are restored on the Southern Sector.

Ekspres Rakyat Timuran: Train service is available between JB Sentral and Jerantut, and Krai and Tumpat. Transhipment bus services are available between Jerantut and Krai and destinations in between.

Shuttle Timur (all trains): There is no train service between Kuala Lipis and Krai due to floods. Train service is available between Krai and Tumpat only.

Passengers holding tickets to any of the above trains (which is all KTM Intercity trains with the exception of the Shuttle Tebrau) on disrupted dates are entitled to a full refund before departure of train of transhipment bus.
