Ramada Plaza Guangzhou is one of two Ramada-s in Guangzhou, close by to Guangzhou East Railway Station. It is a pretty affordable hotel based on price, value and comfort. However, it is separated from Guangzhou East Railway Station by a major highway, making accessibility to it a challenge.
As we couldn’t figure out how to walk to the hotel, we opted to get a taxi there instead – a ride which zipped around the station three times and took about 10 minutes.

Despite being literally right across the road, there was no direct way to cross the highway. However, the hotel provides a scheduled one-way free shuttle service to Guangzhou East Railway Station.
Overall, it was a comfortable stay at Ramada Plaza Guangzhou, with the convenience of it being nearby to Guangzhou East for the train to Hong Kong. Just factor in a little bit more budget for taxi rides to the hotel from the station.
