Brunei-Muara Public Bus Northern Line Service 24: Brunei International Airport to BSB Bus Terminal by Bus

Brunei-Muara Service 24 Brunei International Airport BSB Bus Terminal 001

Heading into the city, I planned to catch the Brunei-Muara Public Bus since there were multiple routes bound for BSB Bus Terminal and I wasn’t in a rush for this short distance anyway. Once done exploring the airport for a little bit, I headed out to the arrival driveway to catch the Brunei-Muara Public Bus into Bandar Seri Begawan proper.

The bus stop is at the end of the driveway at the entrance to the departure hall from the car park.

The bus stop is also clearly marked on the pillar nearest to the bus bay.

There are some airport benches at the bus stop to make the wait a bit more comfortable.

After about 10 minutes of waiting, a green bus pulled up.

I checked the bus destination with the bus driver as buses from Brunei International Airport bus stop proceed in both directions of their route from this bus stop. Always check to make sure that the bus is heading to BSB Bus Terminal rather than some other terminal which you don’t want to go to.

NOTE: There are many bus services from Brunei International Airport to BSB Bus Terminal including Services 23, 24, 34, 38, 36 (not recommended – very long route) and Express (infrequent – you’re lucky if you get it). Just wait for one of these to come along and ask the driver if he is going to BSB.

Once he confirmed that he was indeed heading to BSB Bus Terminal, I took my seat.

The driver then comes around to sell tickets for the bus ride. Tickets on the Brunei-Muara Public Buses cost B$1 (S$1) regardless of bus service or distance travelled. I tried paying with a S$1 coin but he did not accept Singapore coins, but he was able to accept and break a S$2 or S$10 note with no problems. Change is in B$ though, which wasn’t an issue anyway.
