Wynn Palace Dragon SkyCab from Cotai Leste LRT Station to Wynn Palace by Cable Car

The Wynn Palace Dragon SkyCab is classified as an attraction on its own on Wynn Palace’s website, but does actually perform a rather useful function to get people from Av. da Nave Desportiva into the property if one does not use the free casino buses to get in, or are walking from other neighbouring resorts like City of Dreams or MGM Cotai. On top of that, the “outside” station is just beside the upcoming Cotai Leste LRT Station, which would make for a convenient transfer into Wynn Palace from Macau Taipa Ferry Terminal or Macau International Airport once the Macau LRT Taipa Line is finally up.

Cable cars come pouring in frequently, unlike the low-usage Cable Guia.

As the Wynn Palace Dragon SkyCab demand was non-stop, I didn’t get a private cabin like the rest of my trip so far on the Ngong Ping 360 and Cable Guia.

As Wynn Palace’s website says, “a fanciful dragon lifts you into the sky”.

The dragon acts as a rather compact “angle station” for the cable car line to turn towards Wynn Palace. As the cable car does not slow down at this turning wheel since it’s a through cable, there is a bit of a swing due to centrifugal force.

Overall, a pleasant ride on the Wynn Palace Dragon SkyCab with a nice view of Cotai and Wynn Palace’s Performance Lake. The air-conditioned cabins were also a pleasant respite to the warm weather outside – it is probably the first air-conditioned cable car I have ever taken.
