Banteay Kdei and Srah Srang, though sometimes described as separate, are actually linked to each other. Srah Srang is the royal bathing pool of Banteay Kdei temple, used by the royalties of that time.

One of the courtyards of the temple, however most walls have crumbled, making it seem like it’s neither within the temple compound nor the outside forest.

Srah Srang
On first view, you are unable to see the pool as the walk towards it is on an upwards incline, and there’s a platform leading to the pool.
Srah Srang today is just partially flooded with most of the water around the middle portion of the rectangular pool only. It does seem to be dryer than the ones I’ve seen on the internet though. Not sure if it’s failing or it’s just a period with not much rain.
The most part of the pool is now dry, however the locals are unable to grow crops on it like the East Baray due to some regulations in the area.

Looking at the pool from the west platform. You might be able to spot a small stone heap in the middle, possibly a base for a temple which was at the middle of the pool, just like other barays around.
