There are no longer vans waiting in front of the Padang besar customs house. You will have to take a 10 minute walk to the Van Station nearby where the 8301 vans are waiting. If you lost your way, ask the locals and they should be familiar with it.

Can i confirm that it’s able to walk from the Padang Besar train station (MY) to customs ? Because I see on the google maps, there is a gate just before the customs that we are supposedly to exit from but it seems closed.
It’s about a 45 minute walk.
I just checked some youtube videos.. apparently there is a link bridge from Padang Besar station (MY) to the customs which is just about 750m away.. but the entrance to this link bridge is closed for some “safety” reasons… maybe it’s to provide business for the taxis waiting outside the station…

But according to the news report, they are planning to build a temporary fencing around the walkway and that will take about 4 months… for now, the bridge will still be closed for time being…
