If you’re arriving or departing on a night train, or in Kuala Lumpur for a day trip, and feel the need to freshen yourself up properly, the shower room facilities at KL Sentral is for you!
Many signs around the station point towards the direction of the shower room, so no worries about finding it. It’s located along a long corridor which you can enter from Guardian pharmacy at Level 1, which is the ERL, LRT and Komuter concourse level.
Pay at the counter before you head for your shower. You may have to queue during popular hours in the morning when a night train arrives.
A shower goes for RM5, and a towel rental costs an additional RM2. Basic liquid soap is provided on the day I went, but bring your own just in case. An iron and ironing board is also available for rental at RM3. Children pay RM2 for a shower if they are sharing a changing room with an adult.
You will be issued with a key to a changing room upon payment. You can bring all your luggage inside comfortably with ample space to change.
A bin, mirror, seat and a pair of slippers are provided in each changing room. Use the slippers to head for the shower. Remember to lock the door before you head for your shower.
Each shower cubicle is provided with a hanging basket and a hook behind the door. 2 knobs control hot and cold water respectively according to the sign, but both were cold water on the day I went.
2 toilet cubicles are also provided, with 2 sinks outside. If there is a queue for the shower, you may request to the counter to use this first.
The shower room operates from 6am to 9pm daily. If you would like to take a shower before boarding the night train, take note of the early closing time.

This really a life saver, after strolling around at KL, refreshing is what I need, but they didn’t manage it well, only cold water, there’s also a shower room in Bangkok Hua Lamphong, but I haven’t try it, too crowded by the time I came, in SRT 1st class sleepers there’s also a showers in the coach, btw thx for the info bro, it really helps me out when I’m traveling by train in Thailand.
