ETS Gold offers a limited-stop service at major stations along the route it serves. Trains run as far south as Gemas, and as far north as Padang Besar, connecting with shuttle trains to Hat Yai, Thailand.

ETS services use the 91 Class and 93 Class train sets interchangeably, though the 91 Class train sets operate most frequently on ETS Gold services between KL Sentral and Ipoh, and 93 Class train sets on all other routes.
Perkhidmatan ETS menggunakan set kereta api Kelas 91 dan Kelas 93 secara bergilir. Namun begitu, set kereta api Kelas 91 lebih kerap beroperasi pada perkhidmatan ETS Gold antara KL Sentral dan Ipoh, dan set keretapi Kelas 93 pada semua laluan lain.

some objection – the departure from Padang besar at 5.45 AM (Malaysia time) is not quite convenient for Hatyai Padang besar shuttle to make a connection though – even after changing the departure time for the first train from Hatyai to Padang Besar to 6AM (Thailand time) and it is unlikely for SRT to run the first train Hatyai to Padang Besar at 4 AM

As shown in the page above, the ETS has only 1 class of seat. The Penang – KL route is only served by the ETS.
