ETS Platinum
ETS Platinum offers the fastest ETS service on KTM’s network with minimal stops at only key stations along its route. Trains currently ply on the KL Sentral – Butterworth and KL Sentral – Padang Besar routes.
ETS Platinum should not be confused with ETS Platinum Standard. ETS Platinum is the standard type of ETS Platinum, while ETS Platinum Standard is the premium type of ETS Platinum.

ETS Platinum menawarkan perkhidmatan ETS yang lebih laju pada rangkaian KTMB dengan hentian di stesen-stesen yang ditetapkan sahaja di sepanjang laluannya. Kereta api-kereta api tersebut beroperasi pada laluan KL Sentral – Butterworth dan KL Sentral – Padang Besar.
As KTM Berhad has restricted Facebook access to RailTravel Station, RailTravel Station is unable to ask first-hand information when I need clarification from KTM Berhad regarding their services. As such, in reciprocity, RailTravel Station will only provide information that is provided by KTM Berhad.

Book your ticket to or from Taiping instead. Use the KTM Komuter Northern Sector to travel between Butterworth and Taiping, interchanging at Bukit Mertajam.

You can buy tickets to Bangkok starting from Butterworth (1 train daily) or Hat Yai (5 trains daily). No online purchase is available. Buy your train from Butterworth ticket (36up) at any KTM Intercity ticket counters.

You board at Gate B. Once you go down, there will either be only 1 train or staff at the departing train.

I just cross referenced the seating plan you kindly put up in this page with the Ktmb website. It does not quite match. For example on the Ktmb website, when I selected ETS1-ETS Platinum (ETS 9204) Coach B, there are no seats 14C 14D 15C 15D. Would you kindly be able to advise on this please?

Im travel by ets from KL sentral to sungai petani and return in same day,im no happy with my journey,due to ets (train) system..every time they stop the train more than an hour for some stupid reason and wasting everybody time here.this is my first and last journey with ets.
Kl sentral to Sungai petani 6 hrs,and return also same,but in ticket they 4 hrs and 30min.
