KTM Ekspres Rakyat Timuran
The Ekspres Rakyat Timuran is a popular daily service between JB Sentral and Tumpat. It travels along the length of Peninsular Malaysia via the East Coast Line or more popularly known overseas as the Jungle Railway through the dense tropical rainforest of Malaysia and offering easy access to the eastern states of Pahang and Kelantan.
Ekspres Rakyat Timuran adalah perkhidmatan harian popular antara JB Sentral dan Tumpat. Ia bergerak sepanjang Semenanjung Malaysia melalui Laluan Pantai Timur atau lebih dikenali di luar negara sebagai Jungle Railway melalui hutan hujan tropika yang padat di Malaysia dan menawarkan akses mudah ke negeri-negeri timur Pahang dan Kelantan.

Hi, I’m going to Kl Sentral from Wakaf Bharu next month resulting me asking people here and there about train as travelling option. As this is gonna be my first time so I would like to travel with a peace of mind. I wanna ask whether train Ekspres Timuran route to Gemas offers a stop to Kl Sentral? If it does, what about the ticket price? Is it the same? Thank you so much for your kind respond.

Last Qin if you don’t mind, what are the food options on board the train so I could see if I need to pack something for my child before boarding the train or can just eat onboard. Simple meals like non spicy fried rice is good enough. Thanks again

It depends, sometimes it runs empty if KTM doesn’t unlock it for sale.
