Senandung Sutera

The Senandung Sutera is no longer in operation.

There is no through train service between JB Sentral and KL Sentral.

The Senandung Sutera was a popular daily service between JB Sentral and Ipoh via KL Sentral. The Senandung Sutera previously operated as the Senandung Malam between Singapore and KL Sentral, and was extended to Ipoh for a short period of time before being truncated back to KL Sentral. Since 1 July 2015 with the introduction of the Shuttle Tebrau, the train was truncated in the south to JB Sentral but was extended north to Ipoh once again.

The Senandung Sutera ran for the last time on 18 May 2016.

The Senandung Sutera is no longer in operation.

Your blog has a lot of useful information but I am still unsure if I’m understanding things correctly. We are planning to take a 1 day trip to Malaysia from Singapore. I read about the sleeper train (Train #24 SENANDUNG SUTERA) which is a good option to save time and be where we want to be without having to spend extra on hotel stay but it seems this option is no longer available? If so, could you recommend the best route to take from SG to KL that will save us time? We are not familiar with either countries and only have 1 day to spare for a trip to KL as we’ll be flying out of SG in 2 days. Many thanks for all the info you have on your site!
