Kulai Railway Station

Kulai Railway Station is a major station located in Kulai, Johor Bahru, in the middle of Kulai town. It is heavily utilized due to the high catchment area of housing estates for many kilometres around it, and is the last station before the main Malaysia Federal Route 1 splits off from the railway track alignment.

Kulai Temporary Railway Station

Kulai Temporary Railway Station will commence operations on 2 September 2021 in view of the construction progress of the Gemas-Johor Bahru Electrified Double-Tracking Project. Kulai Temporary Railway Station on Jalan Manggis near AEON Mall Kulai and Hospital Kulai is located approximately 3.4km from the old Kulai Railway Station near Kulai Centre Point, RTC Kulaijaya, and Mydin Kulai.

Kulai Temporary Railway Station was originally meant to commence operations on 4 August 2021, but in view of the Enhanced Movement Control Order (EMCO) in Kulai from 29 July to 11 August 2021, the shift in operations from Kulai Railway Station to Kulai Temporary Railway Station was then postponed till further notice.

Alternative Train Travel Options

There are local public bus services linking some railway stations on the JB Sentral – Pulau Sebang (Tampin) sector. You can avoid using the infrequent train schedule by taking a bus instead. In some instances, this will be cheaper and faster.
