RapidKL is under Prasarana, a government-owned company which aims to restructure the public transport system.

Kelana Jaya Line
The Kelana Jaya Line spans 29km and spreads from the city centre in a north-east and south-west direction from Gombak to Kelana Jaya passing through major landmarks such as KLCC and KL Sentral along the way. The system uses Bombardier Mark II ART 2-car and 4-car trains. The line will be extended to Putra Heights targetted at 2016.

Ampang and Sri Petaling Lines
The Ampang and Sri Petaling Lines spans 27km from Sentul Timur to Ampang and Sri Petaling, with the 2 routes sharing the Sentul Timur – Chan Sow Lin section. It passes through the heart of Kuala Lumpur including Bandaraya and Masjid Jamek. The system uses EMUs manufactured by Adtranz. The line will be extended to Putra Heights targetted at 2016.

Monorail Line
The Monorail Line spans 8.6km from KL Sentral to Titiwangsa passing through Bukit Bintang and Chow Kit. The system uses 2-car monorails manufactured by MTrans (now known as Scomi) and 4-car monorails manufactured by Scomi (formerly MTrans) commenced service on 20 December 2014.
