The Rapid Penang Service 401E is an express bus route linking the city of Georgetown to Penang International Airport and Balik Pulau. It is one of the first express bus services when Rapid Penang was formed possibly due to its long route length and the need to connect Penang International Airport with Georgetown.
While still using the Jelutong Expressway, Rapid Penang Service 401E is currently the second-fastest bus route plying between Georgetown and Penang International Airport ever since the inception of the dedicated Airport Transit (AT) Service which serves the Jetty – KOMTAR – Sungai Nibong – Penang International Airport route.

As Service 401E does not terminate at Penang International Airport and rather treats it as just an intermediate stop, remember to press the bell to indicate that you wish to alight, if not the bus may head straight onwards to Balik Pulau with you still on board.
The nearest door from the bus stop would be Door 5 at the arrivals level. Once inside the terminal building, take the escalator up to the departures level.
