The Shuttle Tebrau 85dn is an afternoon train from Johor Bahru Sentral, Malaysia to Woodlands CIQ, Singapore, departing daily at 4.30pm. Arriving from my AirAsia AK5417 from Kuching and connecting immediately to the Causeway Link Senai Airport Shuttle Service AA1 bus, I connected further on to this train for a seamless journey back to Singapore on a Sunday afternoon.
With the arrival of the Causeway Link Senai Airport Shuttle Service AA1 bus, I had a bit of time to wait for the gate to open, but yet not enough time to walk around in JB City Square or Komtar JBCC, so I just waited around JB Sentral.
The new passport gates for Shuttle Tebrau boarding. There are new signs reminding you to mind your step. I wonder what’s the story behind the new signs.
As always, I let the queue proceed in before following behind.
There seems to be more passengers following my style of boarding now though.

A strange clear sight, but with no buses. That also means the crowd build-up in the immigration halls must have been intense.

Temperature screening was conducted in the immigration hall with the COVID-19 situation, funneling all passengers into a single queue for the thermal scanners to do their job. Once done with the walk-through temperature screening, everyone could proceed for immigration as per normal.
Overall, another convenient fuss-free ride on the Shuttle Tebrau, especially on a Sunday afternoon back to Singapore.
