Shuttle Tebrau 93dn from Johor Bahru Sentral to Woodlands CIQ by Train

The Shuttle Tebrau is arguably the hottest topic on RailTravel Station and needs no introduction for this regular commuting trip. As I was already expecting some traffic jams during the December period, I decided to avoid getting a direct bus into Singapore and pre-purchase my Shuttle Tebrau 93dn ticket 30 days before departure at 8.30am for insurance to safeguard any trips I may have on this day. The 9.30pm departure makes it flexible for making a day trip to JB or connecting from somewhere further.

With the new ticketing system in place, there is no need to reprint tickets any more for the Shuttle Tebrau at JB Sentral. However, just as a guide, if you are purchasing your ticket in cash on the spot, the Shuttle Tebrau counter has moved to Counters 3 and 4 on the right.

As usual, I didn’t join the queue to board and just waited till just before the gate’s closing when the crowd has more or less cleared from the gates.

The Shuttle Tebrau 93dn was surprisingly fully seated. I thought the first coach was usually empty with people stuffing themselves at the back.

Looks like I made the right decision not getting a direct Causeway Link bus ticket from Larkin after all.

Heading into Woodlands Train Checkpoint. The train arrived on time at 9.35pm. No photos from here on since I wasn’t in the mood for getting arrested.

Overall, a quick and easy ride on the Shuttle Tebrau 93dn, totally worth getting up early 30 days before departure before 8.30am just to buy my Shuttle Tebrau 93dn ticket to skip the who-knows-how-long traffic jam on the road.
