As Kusu Island is rather small, every seating place is just 1 minute away from the Kusu Island jetty. I sat around the jetty to spot passing ships and crafts, and in good time to queue up for the last 6.15pm Singapore Island Cruise ferry (weekend) back to Marina South Pier.

The Singapore Island Cruise I Whale had berthed there since at least half an hour ago, and there’s still an hour to departure. I wonder if she will serve as the last ferry of the day.
After spotting a few ferries and crafts around the strait, queuing was called by the ship crew for Singapore Island Cruise orange ticket holders about 30 minutes to departure.
Boarding soon commenced at about 5.45pm.

No surprisingly, the open air area of the I Whale filled up first, along with the small upper deck.
I was thus left with the big lower deck to sit in. Oh well, at least there’s good aircon in here after many hours in the sun.
There seems to be plenty of Japanese signs around. Seems like the I Whale was purchased second-hand from Japan, though I can’t seem to search for its history online.

Close to the departure time, the ferry got full, and some passengers were left still queuing on the Kusu Island jetty. I think Singapore Island Cruise would send another ferry to pick them up since none of them were reacting negatively when there’s no space on this last boat.

Once done with security checks, I headed down to Marina South Pier MRT Station to continue my journey back on the MRT.
Overall, a pleasant day out to the Southern Islands for a repeated but more comprehensive trip with Singapore Island Cruise.
