Maeklong Railway
The Maeklong Railway is made up of two sections, namely the Mahachai Line and Ban Laem Line, separated by the Tha Chin River. Passengers can connect between the two lines by boat. The Maeklong Railway also does not get passengers to Bangkok Hua Lamphong railway station, but rather Wongwian Yai. The Maeklong Railway is also the only railway section that is not physically interconnected with the rest of the network.
The westernmost station of the Maeklong Railway at Maeklong Station is home to the famous Talat Rom Hup or “umbrella pulldown market”, also known as the Maeklong Railway Market or Unseen Railway Market.
