The Cheapest Way to KLIA via Nilai

With the recent increase of transport costs, there is still one other option to travel to KLIA and klia2 if you have time to spare, with the myBAS (Airport Liner) from Nilai Sentral.

Board the KTM Komuter to Nilai station from anywhere in the Klang Valley and Greater Klang Valley. For reference, we shall do a comparison from KL Sentral. The fare from KL Sentral is RM7 by cash and RM6 by Touch n Go.

Once at Nilai station, exit the station to the main town.

If you are travelling the reverse way from KLIA or klia2 to KL Sentral, you can purchase your tickets by cash from the counter here, or just head on to the Touch n Go readers if you are going cashless for discounts.

To get to Nilai Sentral, follow the shelter once you exit the station.

Turn right at the 7 Eleven and continue walking straight.

Nilai Sentral is just at the next block. The walking time from the station takes around 2 minutes. Wait for the Airport Liner, now under the myBAS scheme and operating as T57.

Once the bus arrives, pay for your ticket upon boarding to the driver.

The fare to KLIA is RM3.20, while the fare to klia2 goes for RM4.50. Payment by cash only.

The bus does get crowded during peak hours as it is a local bus, serving the neighbouring towns before heading to KLIA and klia2.

The myBAS T57 plies the route between Nilai and KLIA/klia2 via the following landmarks:

However, the journey is also expected to take around 2.5 to 3 hours from KL Sentral, so only do this if you have time to spare. 1. Even during evening peak hour recently, Skybus took 90 minutes from KLIA2 to KL Sentral, alot less than the Airliner. The KLIA Expres or Transit is clearly a very expensive option. From Suvarnapom Airport to central Bangkok, the reliable (although crowded at peak hours) Thai railway fare is only 40-60 baht, depending on which station you get off. Worse, in comparison to Singapore, the MRT fare from Singapore downtown City Hall station to Changi Airport, the fare is only about S$2.3 paying cash (about 7 MYR).

  2. I’m waiting for my morning bus as 6.00am when bus was coming i standby at the place bus driver didn’t geget stop at bus stop in mantin

  3. I used to take bus in nilai to inti,, but going back time why 1hour wait ,, u said 20-30mins BPB 2259 never past by in inti go straight to nilai,,, its unfair to other passengers…
