Transnasional is probably the most reliable company for overnight departures from Johor Bahru to Kuala Lumpur. As such, I booked my ticket early on Easybook to secure my seat on the 1am departure, transferring from the last Shuttle Tebrau of the day arriving in JB Sentral at 11.50pm.
Heading to the ticket counter to exchange my Easybook printout for the Larkin boarding pass. It is a must to print out the booking from Easybook or any online purchase for that matter at Larkin, booked directly or otherwise with the bus company.
Retrieving my boarding pass from the ticket counter.
My boarding pass for the Transnasional bus from Johor Bahru Larkin to Kuala Lumpur TBS. Seems distorted with the GoPro.
Looks a little bit more natural when zoomed in, though more blurry.
Heading to the departure hall.
The departure hall for express buses.
Scanning my boarding pass at the gate to the departure hall to enter the transit area.
The departure hall for express buses.
Bus information can be retrieved from the screens inside the departure hall. As you can see, there are tonnes of buses delayed or cancelled, but not my 1am Transnasional.
Heading to Platform C4 about 10 minutes to departure. No boarding calls are made.
Pretty easy to spot my bus as it is already there.
The bus was parked at Platform C2 instead though. Seems a bit distorted with the GoPro too.
Yeah, the zoom doesn’t work well, and the dark lighting made it worse.
The interior of the Transnasional Business Club 30-seater bus in a 2+1 configuration.
My window seat for this journey.
The legroom on the Transnasional Business Club 30-seater bus.
USB charging ports are available between the seats, but the top one was broken and the bottom one was not working.
The view of the Transnasional Business Club bus from my seat.
The bus departed sharp at 1am, even with 2 missing passengers after the driver checked the manifest. Don’t be late for Transnasional.
Heading on to KL.
Disembarking from the Transnasional bus at TBS.
The journey from Johor Bahru Larkin to Kuala Lumpur TBS took 4 hours and 10 minutes with no rest stops in between, not even for diesel.
Heading up the escalator out of the arrival platforms.
Heading into the terminal building.
Some test shots with the GoPro.
Making TBS look a lot bigger than it already is.
Here, I headed out to the LRT to catch the first train after whiling away some time in the terminal.
Overall, another fuss-free and on-time journey with Transnasional as always.
