Saphire Lounge Jakarta Soekarno-Hatta International Airport Terminal 2F Review (August 2023)

The Saphire Lounge is the only airport lounge available in Jakarta Soekarno-Hatta International Airport Terminal 2F after immigration. As there were not much food options in Terminal 2F, and I still had about 2 hours before my flight, I decided to spend my time in the Saphire Lounge for a more comfortable waiting area with inclusive food and drinks.

The façade of Saphire Lounge Jakarta Soekarno-Hatta International Airport Terminal 2F is easily identifiable with the big logo greeting everyone just after the immigration counters.

Saphire Lounge at Terminal 2F is located at the start of the departure transit area.

For an international airport lounge, Saphire Lounge Jakarta Soekarno-Hatta International Airport Terminal 2F is surprisingly cheap enough by cash at just Rp 120,000 or US$8.

A variety of bank cards, Priority Pass, and Dragon Pass is accepted at Saphire Lounge Jakarta Soekarno-Hatta International Airport Terminal 2F.

However, with the low cash price, it may not be worth to use a Priority Pass or Dragon Pass lounge visit unless you have unlimited visits a year, or you have an expiring visit to expend. The Saphire Lounge Jakarta Soekarno-Hatta International Airport Terminal 2F seems more worthwhile to simply pay for the usage.

The lounge starts off with a small business centre with desktops.

The main lounging area with ample seats and a buffet line is available after.

Individual sofa seats are available in the lounging area, with coffee tables along the aisles.

2-pin power sockets are also located between seats and at other locations around the lounge.

The main buffet line is quite big especially considering the price of the lounge.

There is an a la minute egg and Indomie station with an in-house chef.

A hot buffet line follows behind.

A simple cold salad bar is also available, beside a coffee machine, which felt a bit clunky to use. The chef assisted me with pressing my coffee.

Hot water for tea, infused water, and a syrup juice is also available.

Cold canned drinks and mineral water is also available inside the fridge.

Do note that Saphire Lounge Jakarta Soekarno-Hatta International Airport Terminal 2F is most-likely Halal-friendly with no pork and alcohol offered. But then again, you can’t really expect any alcohol at this price point. A mushola is also available inside the Saphire Lounge Jakarta Soekarno-Hatta International Airport Terminal 2F.

My first helping from the hot buffet line.

I got a Spaghetti Carbonara, chicken, and hot dogs for an early first dinner.

My second helping from the buffet is from the a la minute station with Indomie and an omelette, along with other drinks.

The Indomie was plated but I had to mix the seasoning up myself. Eggs can be ordered any style as long as it’s fried, so that includes sunny side up eggs too.

Remember to mix up the Indomie before eating for the sauces and seasonings below.

A selection of cakes are also available from the buffet line.

I got myself a coffee, juice, and Sprite for drinks. Since it’s free-flow, I could also mix the juice with Sprite for a self-declared non-alcoholic cocktail.

Toilets are available inside the lounge.

The toilet is clean and bright, perhaps the best available in Jakarta Soekarno-Hatta International Airport Terminal 2F.

A shower room is also available inside the toilet, attached with a toilet cubicle, forming 1 big unit.

A spacious sitting toilet cubicle is in the shower room.

A hot shower is available, included as part of the lounge price. Do note that soap and towels are not provided, so bring your own. Alternatively, paper towels are available from the main sink area, and regular hand soap is provided by the sink in the shower room.

Conclusion

The Saphire Lounge in Jakarta Soekarno-Hatta International Airport Terminal 2F is probably the best deal if you would like to eat something or rest before your flight. Food options are currently limited in the public area of Terminal 2F, but the price of Saphire Lounge Jakarta Soekarno-Hatta International Airport Terminal 2F is just a small top-up from the airport prices of food anyway. You also get a comfortable seating area with toilets and even a hot shower. If using Terminal 2F again and I’m early for my flight, I’ll probably be in the Saphire Lounge Jakarta Soekarno-Hatta International Airport Terminal 2F again.
