Established in 2013 and operating in Bangkok with its headquarters in Singapore, 12Go.Asia‘s ultimate goal is to connect the whole ASEAN region from MRT to flights under the same standard ticket. This means that you are able to book rail journeys in South East Asia through 12Go.Asia.
Possible journeys include Bangkok, Thailand to Singapore with SRT and KTM Berhad, and Hanoi to Ho Chi Minh City within Vietnam with Đường sắt Việt Nam (Vietnam Railways). 12Go.Asia also sells bus journeys within South East Asia currently not linked by rail, including from Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam to Phnom Penh or Siem Reap, Cambodia, or even Phnom Penh or Siem Reap, Cambodia to Bangkok, Thailand. Explore transport options within the whole of South East Asia at 12Go.Asia!
RailTravel Station receives a small commission for each booking made through links provided in this website. If you would like to support the upkeep of this website, please click on them and make your purchase, thank you!
The images below will open in a new tab if clicked. This is for you to get a clearer view, especially for the wordy sections when selecting your journey details.
On first look, you are only able to search for your origin and destination, and not your mode of transport. However, the icons at the side of the origin and destination will help you choose which terminal you will arrive at. 12Go.Asia will also give suggestions on bus and flight tickets if necessary. If in doubt, just search for your originating and arriving city – 12Go.Asia will do the rest.
I will be booking an International Express ticket for this sample.
Once done, click “Find Tickets”.
You can choose your language and currency on the top menu bar. Once you have selected your train, click “Buy ticket”.
One of the most useful things about 12Go.Asia is that they will create joint tickets for you, so you could actually make a single booking from Bangkok to Singapore and vice-versa.
You will then see this pop up. Your ticket is stored in your cart already. If you have no other tickets to buy, click “Checkout”.

For Thai trains: 12Go.Asia is only a travel agent and not run by the State Railway of Thailand. Depending on your ticket details, they will give you a choice of where to pick up your physical ticket from. You need this physical ticket to board the train.
International Express Ticket Tips:
- For southbound trains from Bangkok to Padang Besar, the best option is to pick your ticket up for free from the 12Go.Asia office opposite Bangkok Hua Lamphong station.
- For northbound trains from Padang Besar to Bangkok, you are now able to pick up your ticket from the staff on board the International Express itself. A 12Go.Asia staff will hand your ticket to the attendant on the southbound train the day before, and when the northbound train is ready, the attendant will hand you your ticket at your seat.
There is also a courier service using DHL to anywhere in the world for other trains departing from other stations not listed in 12Go.Asia‘s list.
For Malaysian trains: KTM tickets will be sent by email. Just print out or flash the e-ticket when boarding the train.
