Isan Mankha อีสานมรรคา
Isan Mankha is a daily Special Express train plying between Bangkok and Nong Khai, near the border with Laos, stopping at major northeastern cities such as Nakhon Ratchasima, Khon Kaen, and Udon Thani. Nong Khai is the gateway for travelers heading to Vientiane, the capital of Laos. The train is formed of modern, air-conditioned sleeper coaches manufactured by CRRC, making it one of the newest and most comfortable trains in SRT’s fleet. The train departs Bangkok in the evening and arrives in Nong Khai the next morning, with the return service operating overnight as well.
The Isan Mankha offers both First Class and Second Class sleeper accommodations. First Class cabins have two berths per cabin, which can be booked for single or double occupancy. Second Class offers upper and lower berths in an open-plan arrangement. The Isan Mankha includes a restaurant car, a Second Class sleeper coach with handicap facilities, and a special Second Class sleeper coach for women and children for added safety.
The Isan Mankha commenced service on 2 December 2016.
