KTM Komuter

First introduced in 1995 as Malaysia’s first electric train service, the KTM Komuter provides all-stop local commuter rail services across KTM‘s electrified double track sectors, primarily linking the suburbs to and from the city centre.

There are mostly no inter-city and inter-state train services from 31 March 2020 – 14 April 2020 in view of the 2020 Malaysia Movement Control Order.

Train services operate on the following networks. Please click the individual sector’s links to view the system information and timetable.

The KTM Komuter Northern Sector provides services on the Northern Corridor Economic Region, with trains running on the Butterworth – Padang Besar and Butterworth – Padang Rengas routes.

The KTM Komuter Klang Valley Sector is the backbone of the Klang Valley, providing frequent services to the heart of Kuala Lumpur. Trains run on the Batu Caves – Seremban – Pulau Sebang (Tampin) and Tanjung Malim – Rawang – Pelabuhan Klang routes.
