The SRT Southern Line is the longest railway line in Thailand, spanning 1144.29km from Bangkok to the border of Malaysia at Padang Besar and Sungai Golok, with numerous branch lines offering access such as to Kanchanaburi, Nam Tok and Nakhon Si Thammarat. The old line to Bangkok is also part of the SRT Southern Line, terminating at Thonburi station. A variety of trains ply this route, from Ordinary all-stop third class trains to Special Express limited-stop sleeper trains.
