Stuttgart Stadtbahn U9 Light Rail Train from Südheimer Platz to Marienplatz
The Stuttgart Stadtbahn is a light rail system operating on a mix of grade-separated lines and street running tracks in Stuttgart, Germany. The Stuttgart Stadtbahn uses the “U” logo like the metro U-Bahn, but the “U” does not stand for untergrund (underground), but rather for unabhängig (independent). From Südheimer Platz from the Standseilbahn Stuttgart (Seilbahn), I took the Stuttgart Stadtbahn U9 to Marienplatz to continue the Stuttgart train exploration with the Zahnradbahn Stuttgart (Zacke).
Südheimer Platz (Seilbahn)

Südheimer Platz has Seilbahn in brackets at the station for ease of transfer.

From Südheimer Platz to Marienplatz, you can take U1, U9, or U34. These 3 lines share the same track from Südheimer Platz to Marienplatz.

The first train to arrive for me was the U9.

There is non-grade-separated street running on this section of track.
