24 Hours KTM Komuter Free Rides for Thaipusam 2026
To ensure smooth journeys to Batu Caves, KTM Komuter Klang Valley Sector will operate 24 hours a day for 4 days 3 nights from the night of 30 January to the morning of 2 February 2026. During this period, a total of 609 train services will be provided, a 40% increase compared with last year, with up to 700,000 passengers expected to benefit from this service.

A total of 28 stations will operate 24 hours a day, with additional staff deployed to help manage passenger flow including senior citizens, persons with disabilities (OKU), pregnant women and children. Users are also encouraged to use the LRT and MRT networks to interchange with KTM Komuter services to Batu Caves to reduce congestion.


24-Hour KTM Komuter Train Service to Batu Caves
From the night of 30 January to the morning of 2 February 2026, KTMB will operate a round-the-clock KTM Komuter Klang Valley Sector train service for 4 days and 3 nights. This extended service aims to cater to the needs of Hindu devotees, tourists, and members of the public wishing to experience the Thaipusam celebrations, particularly at Batu Caves.

Free KTM Komuter Fares
As a special Government initiative, KTM Komuter fares in the Klang Valley will be free on 31 January and 1 February 2026, from 12:00 midnight to 11:59 pm. This initiative is expected to benefit up to 450,000 passengers.

Additional ETS Services
A total of 8 additional Electric Train Service (ETS) trips will also be provided on the JB Sentral–Butterworth, JB Sentral–KL Sentral, KL Sentral–Ipoh, and KL Sentral–Butterworth routes. These services will operate from 29 January to 3 February 2026 with 10,080 tickets offered, and ticket sales opening from 26 January 2026.
