50% Discount For KTM Komuter Klang Valley Sector Passengers On 3–4 June 2025

KTM Berhad will provide a 50% travel fare discount for KTM Komuter Klang Valley passengers for all types of tickets including concession categories from 3 June to 4 June 2025. This is an apology to passengers who have been affected by train operation delays following signalling system upgrade works currently being carried out between Kepong and Salak Selatan, which began on Saturday, 31 May 2025.

ETS passengers who are stranded at several locations such as KL Sentral have also been provided with drinking water and light refreshments, and notifications of delays via SMS have been sent to affected passengers. KTMB staff have also been stationed at major stations to ensure smooth passenger movement.

At present, the train services experiencing delays are as follows:

ETS Services
a) All ETS services on the KL Sentral – Butterworth, KL Sentral – Padang Besar, Segamat – Padang Besar, and Segamat – Butterworth routes are experiencing delays exceeding 120 minutes.

KTM Komuter Klang Valley
a) Pulau Sebang – Batu Caves – Pulau Sebang route;
b) Tanjung Malim – KL Sentral – Tanjung Malim route;

The signalling system upgrade works are expected to be fully completed by 2 June 2025. This is part of the upgrade works under the Klang Valley Electrified Double Track Project 1 (KVDT1), aimed at ensuring a more efficient, safe, and capable signalling system to support the increasing passenger train operations in the Klang Valley.

Passengers are advised to plan their journeys in advance throughout the upgrade works and to always check the latest schedules via the KTMB Mobile app and the MyRailtime website, as well as to stay updated with the latest developments through KTMB’s official social media channels.
