Step 1: Book your KTM Shuttle Tebrau ticket online

Step 2: Check-in for the KTM Shuttle Tebrau at JB Sentral Gate A
KTM Shuttle Tebrau boarding gates at JB Sentral Gate A opens 30 minutes before departure and closes 10 minutes before departure.
A countdown is displayed to gate closing time. Do not be late as Shuttle Tebrau boarding gates close automatically on the dot 10 minutes before departure at JB Sentral.
Short-term visitors and non-fully vaccinated travellers are reminded to fill up the SG Arrival Card with electronic Health Declaration (“SG Arrival Card”) before departure to Singapore.
Singapore Citizens, Permanent Residents, and Singapore Long-Term Pass Holders with vaccination status reflected in TraceTogether and/or HealthHub apps or have successfully verified their digital overseas vaccination certificate on Vaccination Check Portal (VCP) do not need to fill up the SG Arrival Card for land arrivals in to Singapore via Woodlands and Tuas Checkpoints.

Step 3: Go through Malaysia Immigration and Customs (Exit Malaysia)
Head down the escalator to Malaysia immigration.
There are 2 sides of Malaysia immigration counters after walking down the middle path. Any side is fine, simply choose the side with the shorter queue.
After Malaysia immigration, there is a bag scan by Malaysia Customs.
Step 4: Wait in Waiting Room
Once done with Malaysia immigration and customs, passengers are held at the waiting room until the KTM Shuttle Tebrau train is ready for departure. Boarding usually commences 5 minutes before scheduled departure time by the small right-most glass door.
Toilets are available in the waiting room.
Step 5: Board the KTM Shuttle Tebrau train
Once the small right-most glass door at the waiting room has opened, head down the staircase, escalator, or lift to either Platform 3 or 4. Follow the direction pointed out by staff, or if you are in the middle of the crowd, follow the general direction of where the crowd in front is going.
The KTM Shuttle Tebrau train is hauled by a diesel locomotive, and does not operate like an MRT. Passenger coaches are located by the middle of the train. There is no need to walk all the way to the front or rear of the train as there is no passenger seating area in the diesel locomotives or the Power Generator Car (PGC).
There are 3 types of passenger coaches on service on the KTM Shuttle Tebrau train. You may be getting any of these 3 types of seats. The KTM Shuttle Tebrau is free seating on board.
ASC (Hyundai-Padu Sedia)
The ASC (Hyundai-Padu Sedia) consists of 60 seats arranged in a fixed transverse forward and reverse direction, in a 2+2 configuration. 4 ASC (Hyundai-Padu Sedia) coaches are attached on the Shuttle Tebrau. The types of ASC available on the Shuttle Tebrau may be swapped out by KTM Berhad at any time.
ASC (ICF-Padu Sedia)
The ASC (ICF-Padu Sedia) consists of 60 seats arranged in a fixed transverse forward and reverse direction, in a 2+2 configuration. 4 ASC (ICF-Padu Sedia) coaches are attached on the Shuttle Tebrau. The types of ASC available on the Shuttle Tebrau may be swapped out by KTM Berhad at any time.
ASC (INKA)
The ASC (INKA) consists of 60 seats arranged in a fixed transverse forward and reverse direction, in a 2+2 configuration. 4 ASC (INKA) coaches are attached on the Shuttle Tebrau. The types of ASC available on the Shuttle Tebrau may be swapped out by KTM Berhad at any time.
Step 6: Enjoy your 5-minute express ride
The KTM Shuttle Tebrau train journey on the Johor-Singapore Causeway takes just 5 minutes. If travelling during peak hours, you will easily skip the jams on the road and cross the Causeway from Malaysia to Singapore at speed.
Step 7: Go through Singapore Immigration and Customs (Enter Singapore)
The KTM Shuttle Tebrau train terminates at Woodlands Train Checkpoint (Woodlands CIQ) where you clear Singapore Immigration and Customs to enter Singapore. The entrance to the Singapore immigration area is towards the rear of the train.
Short-term visitors and non-fully vaccinated travellers are reminded to fill up the SG Arrival Card with electronic Health Declaration (“SG Arrival Card”) before going through Singapore Immigration. Free WiFi is available at the Singapore Immigration area for this.
Following Singapore Immigration, the path continues on to Singapore Customs. Follow the queue to the Green Channel if you have nothing to declare. No photos or videos are allowed to be taken inside Woodlands Train Checkpoint (Woodlands CIQ).
Step 8: Continue your journey in Singapore
From Woodlands Train Checkpoint (Woodlands CIQ), there is a taxi stand and passenger pick-up point if travelling by private vehicles including ride-hailing apps.
On the sheltered walkway ahead, there is also a bus stop with many public bus routes.

Yes, as the CIQ at JB Sentral Railway Station is technically under Bangunan Sultan Iskandar. However, do note that you should enter Malaysia using MACS 2.0 and autogate by bus if you want to use the autogate to exit Malaysia.
