KTM Shuttle Selatan Promo Fares from 28 June 2026

KTM Berhad has announced a new promotional fare campaign for its new Shuttle Selatan service, offering passengers around a 50% discount from 28 June 2026. The initiative aims to encourage more commuters in Johor to choose rail transport as a faster, more comfortable and cost-effective alternative to travelling by private vehicles.

Now-Affordable Rail Travel Across Southern Johor

The promotional fares apply to two Shuttle Selatan routes:

Under the promotion, passengers travelling between Kulai and JB Sentral will enjoy discounted fares of RM5.10, reduced from the standard fare of RM10.20. Meanwhile, commuters on the Kempas Baru – Pasir Gudang route will pay just RM3.50, down from the usual RM7.00.

Supporting the Government’s Road to Rail Initiative

KTMB Group Chief Executive Officer Datuk Azlan Shah Al Bakri said the promotional fares form part of the company’s commitment to supporting the Government’s Road to Rail initiative, which encourages motorists to switch from private vehicles to public rail transport.

The reduced Shuttle Selatan fares are expected to benefit daily commuters travelling between residential areas, city centres and employment hubs throughout the Johor Bahru, Kulai and Pasir Gudang corridor, making public transport a more attractive and economical option.

The Shuttle Selatan service was officially launched on 16 June 2026 as a Government initiative to improve connectivity and mobility across Johor.

KTMB Remains Committed to Sustainable Mobility

KTMB reaffirmed its commitment to strengthening Malaysia’s rail network by delivering reliable, safe and competitive rail services. The company continues to support the Government’s efforts to increase public transport usage while contributing to the nation’s sustainable mobility agenda.
