Kempas Baru Railway Station is a major station and backbone of train operations in the southern sector of the KTM railway network. The passenger station is located in Kempas Permatang, Johor Bahru, while the yard is located in Setia Tropika, Johor Bahru.

Kempas Baru Railway Station is a junction station for the Pasir Gudang and Tanjung Pelepas (PTP) freight lines. The junction for the Pasir Gudang freight line is just south of the station, while the junction for the Tanjung Pelepas (PTP) freight line is further north at Skudai Junction.
