KTMB Launches KOMI Club to Foster Child and Family Friendly KTM Komuter Community
KTM Berhad has introduced KOMI Club, a new fan-based community initiative for KTM Komuter users aimed at strengthening engagement with passengers, particularly children, teenagers and families. The club has been introduced as a value-added programme for commuters who rely on KTM Komuter for their daily travel, offering a supportive ecosystem, travel benefits and community activities designed to make public transport more meaningful, inclusive and family-friendly.
KOMI Club seeks to enhance the commuting experience for children and young people aged 4 to 17, while nurturing early interest and positive attitudes towards public transport use from a young age.

KTMB’s Chief Technical Officer, who is also Acting Group Chief Executive Officer, Ir Ahmad Nizam Mohamed Amin, said the establishment of KOMI Club reflects the company’s long-term commitment to building relationships with future generations, while reinforcing the trust of loyal commuters who depend on KTM Komuter as part of their daily routine.
“KOMI Club represents a holistic approach to connecting KTM Komuter services with children, teenagers and families. It is not merely about travelling from one destination to another, but about shaping habits, values and the future of public transport usage,” he said.
The launch of KOMI Club aligns with the Government’s Budget 2026 announcement on the implementation of free fares for children aged six and below, effective from 1 January 2026, an initiative welcomed by KTMB. Through KOMI Club, the company aims to organise and strengthen existing travel experiences and initiatives in a more structured manner for children and teenagers up to the age of 17.
Under KOMI Club, several key sub-programmes will be introduced, including KOMI RIDE, which consolidates existing travel benefits, such as free fares, while extending the MyRailLife Programme to children aged four to six.
“MyRailLife forms the foundation of the KOMI Club ecosystem by simplifying registration, information delivery and access to various benefits. We hope the public, particularly daily commuters, will continue to choose KTM Komuter as their primary mode of transport, including during holiday periods, while supporting efforts to strengthen the culture of public transport use in the country,” Ahmad Nizam added.
From 2026 onwards, KTMB also plans to roll out additional programmes in collaboration with strategic partners, including:
- KOMI CARE – Family insurance protection offering coverage benefits for members and their families
- TABUNG KOMI – A savings platform for children and teenagers through partnerships with banking institutions
- KOMI BUDDIES – Group-based activities focusing on education, learning and community engagement
Membership of KOMI Club is non-commercial in nature. As an initial step, all MyRailLife registrants aged 4 to 17 years old are eligible to become KOMI Club members upon completing a membership form. The club is positioned as a social responsibility and community development initiative, with the aim of delivering relevant and accessible benefits for Malaysian families.
Registration for KOMI Club will open on 1 January 2026 and will be available to all eligible participants, subject to the applicable terms and conditions.

As part of its community outreach efforts and in celebration of the festive season, KTMB also distributed souvenirs to 300 KTM Komuter Klang Valley passengers in conjunction with Christmas celebrations, as a token of appreciation for their continued support.
KTMB further encouraged the public to take advantage of KTM Komuter services during the school holidays and extended breaks as a safe, comfortable and cost-effective travel option for families.
KTMB also expressed its appreciation to strategic partners supporting the KOMI Club and its community programmes, including Etiqa, Able Dairies, Dashpadu and Sanwa Travel & Tours, for their role in making the initiative a success for the benefit of commuters and the wider community.
Further details on KOMI Club will be announced progressively via KTMB’s official website, social media platforms, or through the KTMB Call Centre at 03-9779 1200.
