KTM Komuter Northern Sector 2911dn from Kuala Kangsar to Ipoh Train Review
As my short trip in Kuala Kangsar got disrupted due to a lack of onward transport options, I took the boring way back to Ipoh by simply getting on the next train, which was KTM Komuter Northern Sector 2911dn. Nevertheless, this got me more time to spend in and around the vicinity of Kuala Kangsar Railway Station, which was the initial point of this short train ride.

There is a bus stop inside Kuala Kangsar Railway Station, but there are no passing through bus services outside of the station anyway, and the bus stop is used as just another parking lot.

Heading up to the driveway and entrance level.

Even though the driveway is just beside the platform, there is no thoroughfare for passengers, and everyone needs to climb up to the concourse to exit from the station.

As I still had a bit of time before my train’s departure, I headed across to the opposite exit to have a look.

The opposite exit leads to Kampung Station where there are many houses.

Platform 1 is for all northbound trains.

Platform 2 is for all southbound trains.

Even when I had arrived half an hour early, the platform was already open for me to descend to the platform, which is great as I would much rather wait at the platform than get stuck on the concourse.

Heading down the stairs to Platform 2.

Due to the location of the staircase and high platform length, both 3 and 6 car trains stop at the same point, at the end of the high platform length.

The low platforms are not for public use ever since the Eastern & Oriental Express last used it in early 2020.
