KTM EMUPlus | Electric Multiple Unit Plus

EMUPlus (Electric Multiple Unit Plus) is a special super-peak period train service using KTM Komuter 92 Class SCS electric multiple unit (EMU) trains for longer-distance intercity runs on the KL Sentral–Ipoh route, adding supply when ETS tickets sell out. As the 92 Class SCS has no on-board toilets, a toilet break is included in the journey at Sungkai or Slim River. Snacks and drinks are also sold onboard in Coach C.

EMUPlus is introduced by KTM Berhad for Chinese New Year 2026, running on 13–15 and 20–22 February 2026, offering two return trips daily with free seating for 300 passengers per train and a total of 7,200 tickets over six days. KTMB will continue the same additional service initiative in conjunction with the Hari Raya Aidilfitri celebrations and future super-peak travel periods to meet the travel needs of the public.

EMUPlus services are extended to and from Klang from 17 April 2026, marking the first time Klang, Shah Alam, and Subang Jaya are served by a direct train to Ipoh.
