New KTM Komuter Klang Valley Timetable from 1 January 2026 (Jadual Baru KTM Komuter Lembah Klang mulai 1 Januari 2026)

A new KTM Komuter Klang Valley Sector timetable will be implemented from 1 January 2026 for the Tanjung Malim – Pelabuhan Klang Line and Batu Caves-Pulau Sebang (Tampin) Line, in line with the ongoing progress of the Klang Valley Double Track Phase II (KVDT2) project.

This timetable adjustment is part of KTMB’s efforts to improve its services as the upgrading works of the railway line under the KVDT project begin to provide a more stable operational capacity. This change is expected to enhance train travel efficiency, optimise movement along the affected routes, and support a more consistent service to users.

New Timetable and Operational Improvements

With the introduction of this new timetable, train services will resume in both directions along the Port Klang route, including intermediary stations, during the morning and evening peak hours. In line with this train service resumption, the free shuttle bus service for the Subang Jaya – Port Klang route and the affected intermediary stations will no longer be available.

To meet the travel needs of passengers, especially during peak hours, KTMB will provide train services with a 30-minute frequency for the Port Klang – Kuala Lumpur route, as well as the Tanjung Malim – Kuala Lumpur route, ensuring the comfort of daily users who rely on this service for their commute.

Two (2) train services from Tanjung Malim to Port Klang and one (1) service to Shah Alam will be introduced in the morning to accommodate the travel needs of passengers from Tanjung Malim to Port Klang and its intermediary stations, including travel via KL Sentral.

Maintenance Work and Track Closures

Maintenance work and track closures (line blocks) will continue to be carried out from 11.00am to 3.00 pm every day. During this period, there will be no passenger train services along the Port Klang – KL Sentral – Port Klang route to allow for safe infrastructure upgrade works.

This timetable change will also affect the Pulau Sebang – Batu Caves – Pulau Sebang route, to ensure a more efficient commuter train network and minimise waiting times between routes. KTMB will maintain the 30-minute frequency during peak hours on this route as well.

KTMB’s Ongoing Commitment

KTMB remains committed to providing safe, comfortable, and reliable train services for all passengers. We greatly appreciate the patience, understanding, and continued support of our passengers during the implementation of the KVDT2 project, which is crucial to ensuring the continued safety and sustainability of the national rail system.

This step reflects the positive progress KTMB is making in ensuring smoother and safer train services, aligned with infrastructure improvements being carried out through the KVDT project.

During this transitional period, train operations along the Port Klang sector will continue using a single track between Abdullah Hukum Station and Port Klang Station. KTMB will continue to monitor and coordinate operations regularly as the comprehensive upgrading work under the KVDT2 project progresses and is expected to be completed by 2029.
