Rapid KL Tourist Pass Price Increase by 150% to RM25 from 1 January 2026

The Rapid KL RM10 MyCity Pass for tourists will no longer be available from 1 January 2026. Instead, tourists and foreigners will have to purchase the new more-expensive Rapid Kembara pass for unlimited travel in Kuala Lumpur and the Klang Valley area on all LRT, MRT, Monorail, BRT, Rapid Bus, and LRT and MRT feeder bus services through the use of the Touch ‘n Go card.

Foreigners may also continue to pay the usual single trip prices if they do not require unlimited travel on Rapid KL services.

Prasarana Malaysia Berhad (Prasarana) has announced price adjustments for several Rapid KL travel passes which will be effective from 1 January 2026, in line with the development of the public transport network and the need to ensure more stable and sustainable services in the long term.

All users will need to have a Touch ‘n Go card in order to purchase the Rapid Kembara Pass, which will be encoded into the physical Touch ‘n Go card. New Touch ‘n Go cards can be purchased from these locations. There should also be a minimum of RM5 stored value in the physical Touch ‘n Go card to keep it active for use.

Malaysians who commute by Rapid KL frequently should seriously consider using the My50 30 Day Pass which costs RM50 instead. The My50 would make the daily cost of commute only RM1.67 for unlimited travel, which is much lower than any of the new passes.
