Hotel Review: Centara Hotel Hat Yai Superior Twin Room (2022)

Centara Hotel Hat Yai

Centara Hotel Hat Yai is a premium hotel in downtown Hat Yai just opposite Lee Gardens. For this trip during August 2022, I managed to snag a very good 40% off rate under the Centara Travel Unlocked Flash Sale, so I finally had the opportunity to try out Centara Hotel Hat Yai after many years of just waking past it.

Check-in at Centara Hotel Hat Yai is at Level 6. There was a short line in front of the front desk as I had arrived just at check-in time at 3pm.

Complimentary small glasses of welcome drink are available at a dispenser at the lobby.

There is a sSkylight Lounge which serves drinks and snacks between the lobby and the lifts.

The television and table are placed in front of the beds.

Drinking water, coffee, and tea are available by the side of the television.

A minibar is provided in the cupboard below.

Sealed drinks are provided inside the minibar which are chargeable.

There are also some nuts and a condom beside the minibar. Remember to declare it to the front desk if you’ve used it.

There is a seating area with 1 chair and a coffee table by the window.

A telephone, TV remote control, and the room light controls are available on the bedside table.

In the wardrobe, an in-room safe, hangers, and bedroom slippers are provided.

Heading to check out the bathroom.

The sink area in the bathroom.

Toiletries are provided by the side of the sink.

Strangely, shampoo, body wash, and body lotion are also provided by the sink and not in the shower area. These bottles were migrated to the shower shortly after this picture was taken.

Toilet paper and a bidet hose are provided by the toilet bowl.

Towels are provided on the towel rack.

The shower and bathtub is integrated.

A side bottle of soap is placed by the bathtub for what I think creates a foam bath. I didn’t try it out though.

Buffet Breakfast at Saneha Café

Buffet breakfast is served at Saneha Café Restaurant which is at the lobby beside the front desk.

Local and western cooked breakfast are provided in the hot trays.

Some porridge and dim sum are also available.

Condiments for porridge are by the counter.

A local touch to the buffet breakfast, Hat Yai Fried Chicken and sticky rice are also available at the buffet.

There is also a very important egg station whipping out eggs of almost any style.

The kitchen here is Halal certified with the Halal logo displayed at the cooking station.

A salad station with cold cuts and cheese follows.

Fruits and yoghurt follow.

The spread on this line ends with coffee and tea.

But we’re not done yet. There’s also a central island with more food.

A variety of breads and pastries are available.

My small selection of breakfast with an omelette and Hat Yai Fried Chicken.

Swimming Pool

The swimming pool, gym, and spa are located at Level 7 at the open area of the hotel.

There is also a spa at the end of the swimming pool, operated by Cense by SPA Cenvaree.

As the very few branded hotels in Hat Yai, Centara Hotel Hat Yai offers a very comfortable stay right in the heart of Hat Yai with markets, amenities, and transport links by train or songthaew readily accessible within a short walk.
