Jetstar Asia 3K792 from Okinawa (Naha) to Singapore Flight Review
Jetstar Asia 3K792 is a thrice-weekly flight from Okinawa (Naha) to Singapore departing on Sundays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays. It was just a simple trip to Okinawa, without combining it with other destinations in Japan, so I was heading back to Singapore on the early morning of my 4th day in Okinawa.
Okinawa Naha Airport

Arriving in Naha Airport by the Yui Rail Okinawa Urban Monorail, it was a bit of a walk to the international section of the terminal building.
Check-in

The check-in area for international flights is located at the end of the elongated terminal building. It’s 1 floor up from the level from the Yui Rail Okinawa Urban Monorail.

Jetstar Asia’s check-in is at Row C.

The check-in queue was extremely long, with no sign of moving.

Thankfully, I had already checked in online and printed out my boarding pass, so I could head directly to the gate. And by that, I mean more time for duty-free shopping.

Departures is 1 floor down.

Most stores were still closed in Naha Airport this early morning.
Security Screening, Customs & Immigration

Security is just up ahead behind this wall. Unfortunately, the queue was extremely long as well, with both Jetstar Asia Singapore passengers and Tigerair Taiwan Taipei passengers queuing on the 1 opened lane. I took 26 minutes to get through security, customs, and immigration. Most of the time was taken up queuing for security, with no queues for customs and immigration due to the choke at security, so people funneled in 1 by 1.

The international transit area is small and compact.

There is a DFS outlet in the international area to buy some last-minute omiyage.

Not many other shops were opened this early morning, with the food court still closed, and only vending machines and another small outlet for drinks.
Gate 43B

My plane was already at the gate when I had made it to the transit area, arriving early as 3K791. It’s 9V-JSQ again, operating on my 3K792 flight back to Singapore.

My 3K792 flight will be departing from Gate 43B. Queue lines were prepared according to row numbers.
Boarding

Boarding commenced about 25 minutes before departure. This part was slow as well, with only 1 person checking boarding passes, but at least this process did not choke the aerobridge.

Hello 9V-JSQ again.

The interior of 9V-JSQ with the slimmer seats, which I prefer over the cushier ones.

With the slimmer seats, there is more legroom available.

The seat pocket is of the rigid slot type at eye-level, providing more knee room.

Boarding slowed to a trickle after a while, with the plane still half-empty. I think it’s because people were still stuck at security.

Alas, it was quite a full flight after all, so there was no chance of me getting a “flatbed” of 3 seats once the seat belt signs were switched off.
My Jetstar Asia 3K792 flight departed from Okinawa Naha at 9.43am – 33 minutes delayed due to late completion of boarding.

Carrot Cake with Shrimp

As I had expected to have no ready food available in Naha Airport to bring on board the flight, and it was a longer daytime flight, I pre-ordered a Carrot Cake with Shrimp for S$18 for my on-board meal. This was served soon after the seat belt signs were switched off after departing from Okinawa Naha.
My Carrot Cake with Shrimp set was served in a pile on a paper plate. Pre-ordered meals come with a 100ml tub of Udders Ice Cream and a can of water.

My pre-ordered items, properly laid out on my tray table.
It’s unfortunate that the only drink provided by Jetstar Asia is a can of water for pre-ordered meals, something that I can refill an empty bottle for free at Naha Airport. On the flip side, Scoot gives a choice of a can of water or Coca‑Cola Classic, which looks more palatable and somewhat premium, considering that this costed me S$18.

Unveiling my Carrot Cake with Shrimp, I was slightly disappointed. I was half-expecting the same Carrot Cake with Shrimp as served on Singapore Airlines, since they come from sort of the same caterer, but this looks very visually different.

The Jetstar Asia Carrot Cake with Shrimp was on the dry side, as can be seen from the flat charred portions of the egg. The side chilli provided was also dry chilli crisps instead of sambal like on Singapore Airlines, though this was clearly advertised by Jetstar Asia, and it was probably just my wrong expectation that I thought “chilli crisps” was a poor English translation of sambal.

Nevertheless, I still finished up my S$18 Carrot Cake with Shrimp. I’d have preferred maybe some chilli oil that comes from the chilli crisps like Din Tai Fung or King Of Fried Rice to make the meal less dry, or even some actual sambal.
Well, at least I have a can of water.

Vanilla Udders Ice Cream was provided as my side dessert.
Singapore Changi Airport Terminal 4

My Jetstar Asia 3K791 flight landed at Singapore Changi Airport at 1.46pm – 16 minutes delayed. The total flight time was 5 hours and 3 minutes.

Immigration & Customs

Heading down the escalator to arrival immigration.
Remember to fill up your SG Arrival Card (SGAC) within three (3) days (including the day of arrival) before arrival in Singapore. All passengers arriving by flight, including Singaporeans and PRs, must fill up the SG Arrival Card (SGAC) with Electronic Health Declaration.

Heading past duty-free after clearing immigration.

Baggage reclaim was at Row 1 for my flight. However, as I had no baggage to reclaim, I headed straight out through customs.

To continue on my journey by MRT, I took the Changi Airport Terminal 4 Shuttle Bus from the arrival hall at Terminal 4 to Terminal 2.
Conclusion
It was a basic no-frills flight with Jetstar Asia, but it is exactly what I paid for to get to and from Okinawa for cheap. All I needed was a seat for this flight, and baggage wasn’t an issue for me since I managed to pack amazingly just 6kg on the return leg from this short trip to Japan, excluding my airport duty-free shopping. My Carrot Cake with Shrimp was a bit of a downer, but at least I have food to eat on this morning flight from Okinawa to Singapore.
