Yui Rail Okinawa Urban Monorail from Asahibashi to Naha Airport by Train
For my morning flight from Okinawa back to Singapore, the Yui Rail Okinawa Urban Monorail is the only public transport option to get to Naha Airport as buses do not start that early. As such, I used Yui Rail to head to Naha Airport with my Yui Rail 1 Day Pass bought on the previous day which is still valid for this morning.
Asahibashi Station

Asahibashi Station is located just adjacent to Naha Bus Terminal, which is still half-asleep this morning just before 7am.

Ticket machines are available at Asahibashi Station. A single trip fare from Asahibashi to Naha Airport costs ¥270.
Yui Rail Passes
| Type | Validity | Price |
| Klook 1 Day Pass | 1 Calendar Day (till end of service) | ¥510 |
| Yui Rail 1 Day Pass | 24 hours from purchase | ¥800 |
| Yui Rail 2 Day Pass | 48 hours from purchase | ¥1,400 |
The Klook 1 Day Pass will not work for this early morning journey as, in all likelihood, you will just be taking 1 train ride for the whole day, unless you’re going to somewhere else in Japan for a day trip like Fukuoka and coming back later that evening.

However, I used my Yui Rail 1 Day Pass bought from the ticket machine on the previous day, and is still valid for this last Yui Rail train ride for this trip for me.
There is also an Okinawa-only IC card called OKICA which can be purchased from the ticket machines. However, OKICA cannot be used in other parts of Japan.

Head up to Platform 2 for trains to Naha Airport.

The next train departure and formation is displayed on the departure board. Trains start to get more frequent at 7am, with about 6 trains an hour on a Sunday.

Spotting an opposing train bound for Tedako-Uranishi.
My train was rather crowded for this early morning with many travellers with luggage heading to catch flights, and photos of the interior of the train was not very possible. Perhaps this was due to the lower frequency just before this train, as trains ran at a 13 to 18 minute frequency from 5.45am to 7.04am.
Also, perhaps I should have waited for the next 3-car train for more space.

Discounted Keisei Skyliner Tickets

If flying to Tokyo-Narita, you can buy discounted Keisei Skyliner tickets within the paid area of Naha Airport Station before heading out of the ticket gates. This discount is for Yui Rail passengers.
No Skyliner ride for me unfortunately, I will be taking the SMRT East–West Line Changi Airport Extension instead.

The Japan’s Westernmost Station Monument stands on the Naha Airport Station concourse just after the ticket gates and before the linkbridge to the terminals.

The central link bridge from Naha Airport Station leads to the airport terminals.

Unfortunately, the travellators have been decommissioned since September 2022.

Here, I headed in to the terminal building to continue my walk to the international terminal to fly back to Singapore.
