Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KUL) Free Shower Facility at Terminal 2 (International Departures)
Another of KLIA’s secret free showers is also available at KLIA T2 even though the terminal serves mainly low-cost carrier flights. This shower facility is located after immigration in the transit area for international departures, so only international passengers who are flying out of Malaysia can make use of it. This shower is free of charge.
The main international departures area for shopping and dining is at the satellite terminal across the Skybridge.
Turn left towards Pier P and continue straight.
Towards the end of the main hall before more shops to Pier P, there is a toilet on the left.
There is a weird waiting area in front of the toilet, but continue straight.
KLIA T2 Shower Room (International Departures)
An icon in front of the toilet indicates the availability of the shower.
2 shower cubicles are available in the toilet here at the second-last and last cubicle of the row.
The shower cubicle was compact and clean. Only cold water is available here, but it’s still perfect since it’s free. Bring your own towel and toiletries.
Conclusion
This free shower facility in KLIA T2 is one of the best offerings that Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA) has, especially for a night international departure after a long day in KL. Perhaps this facility can be more actively marketed, with the hopes of climbing the Skytrax ladder again. This will differentiate KLIA with other airports in the world for better passenger services, since not many airports in the world offer showers free of charge.
Do note that the other shower cubicles in the toilet on the mirror image of the departure area near Pier Q was locked out of service.
Is it a bring your own soap and towel shower ? Not many would want the extra carry on weight of a damp towel. Maybe towel and soap are provided at a charge ??
If you want a paid shower, then go to the paid shower at Sama-Sama Express.
