KTM 22 Class Locomotive
The 22 Class Locomotive was a mainline locomotive in KTM’s fleet, frequently used during its heyday in the 1970s to early 1990s. It operated on both passenger and freight services, and was a staple throughout Peninsular Malaysia. 40 such locomotives were ordered, and were named after Malaysian cities and towns.
Before retiring from KTM service, the 22 Class locomotives worked as shunters.
The 22 Class locomotives are no longer in service for KTM.

Remnants of the placement of the original FMSR crest in the former maroon livery can be seen with the position painted over by the new Jalur Gemilang livery.
Resale
22115 Kuala Lipis was resold to railway engineering company Emrail which uses it for hauling their own trains within contracted track-based projects. Emrail owns a total of 3 former KTM 22 Class locomotives.
