Train Review: JR Special Rapid Service from Sannomiya to Kobe by Train (223 Series EMU)

JR Special Rapid Service from Sannomiya to Kobe Train Review

After a satisfying Kobe beef dinner in Kobe, I decided that I should pay a visit to Kobe Station, since I was already in Kobe after all. I headed back to Sannomiya Station to get the JR train to Kobe with my JR Sanyo-San’in Northern Kyushu Area Pass. It was probably also going to be easier for me to head back to Osaka later with a higher chance of a seat when boarding the return leg from Kobe instead of Sannomiya.

The next train in 4 minutes was going to be the JR Special Rapid Service. And if I skip it, there’s going to be yet another train in 2 minutes. That works too.

And here comes the JR Special Rapid Service for my short hop from Sannomiya to Kobe. Feels weird to take a long-haul commuter train for such a short journey.

With nothing much to do around Kobe Station for me, I headed back to Osaka early for some last-minute shopping before my departure from Japan the next day.
