KTM Berhad has announced the 2026 run of the special Ekspres Lambaian Aidiladha (ELA) service to the East Coast ahead of Hari Raya Aidiladha, giving passengers another option for heading home for the festive season. The special Ekspres Lambaian Aidiladha (ELA) service will run with two trips, offering a convenient and comfortable journey between KL Sentral and Tumpat.

Tickets for the special Ekspres Lambaian Aidiladha (ELA) train will go on sale on 24 April 2026, starting at 10.00 am. KTMB is offering a total of 912 tickets across both journeys, with 456 seats available for each trip. Fares for the one-way service start from RM80.00 and go up to RM95.00, depending on the coach type selected.

The Ekspres Lambaian Aidiladha (ELA) train will include a range of coach options, such as AFC (Air-conditioned First Class) seating, ASC (Air-conditioned Second Class) seating, ADNS (Air-conditioned Day/Night Second) sleeper coaches, as well as an ABC (Air-conditioned Buffet Coach) and Chillax Coach. This gives passengers more flexibility in choosing the type of travel experience that best suits their needs.

Along the route, the Ekspres Lambaian Aidiladha (ELA) train will stop at 16 stations, including Bandar Tasik Selatan, Kajang, Seremban, Pulau Sebang, Gemas, Bahau, Mentakab, Jerantut, Kuala Lipis, Gua Musang, Dabong, Kuala Krai, Tanah Merah, Pasir Mas, Wakaf Bharu and Tumpat. This wide coverage makes the service useful not only for festive travellers but also for those planning leisure trips to the East Coast.

KTMB said the Ekspres Lambaian Aidiladha (ELA) special train reflects its continued support for the government’s effort to expand rail transport choices and ease congestion on the East Coast route during peak festive periods. The operator also noted that the service could benefit tourists visiting East Coast destinations during the holiday season.

Passengers are advised to purchase tickets via cashless transactions through the KTM Mobile (KITS Style) app, KTMB’s official website, or ticket kiosks to secure their seats. As of 1 January 2025, KTMB has fully transitioned to a cashless ticketing system.

Passengers are also encouraged to arrive at stations 30 minutes before departure for smoother documentation processes, as boarding gates will close 5 minutes prior to departure to ensure a seamless and comfortable journey.
