Stagecoach London Night Bus N205 from King’s Cross to Paddington

Stagecoach London Bus N205 is a night bus route between Leyton and Paddington. Heading on to London Paddington Railway Station past midnight, I caught Stagecoach London Night Bus N205 from opposite London Kings Cross Station to Paddington as the last Circle Line train had already departed.

King’s Cross Station (Stop R)

Stagecoach London Bus N205 departs from King’s Cross Station (Stop R) towards Paddington.

The last regular 205 bus was running late in front of the first N205 bus.

For the sake of taking a night bus, I skipped the regular 205 to take the N205 instead. There is no difference in fare or route for both buses for the sector from Kings Cross to Paddington. This costed £1.65 during my journey, bus London bus fares have increased since 5 March 2023 by 10p to £1.75.

Service information is displayed on an LED strip in front of the bus and audio announcements. The N205 from Kings Cross to Paddington largely follows the Circle Line route, but as a bus on a regular road above the train tunnels instead.

It was not too crowded on board the N205 with many passengers boarding the 205 ahead instead.

It was still raining outside so I’m thankful I’m in shelter for the time being.

My Stagecoach London Night Bus N205 journey from King’s Cross to Paddington took 19 minutes.

The N205 continues on to Paddington Cleveland Terrace where it terminates.

Looks like my N205 overtook the front 205, and now the first night bus was ahead of the last day bus.
