Thomson-East Coast Line Stage 4 (TEL4) MRT Stations from Tanjong Rhu to Bayshore to Open on 23 June 2024
7 MRT stations along the Thomson-East Coast Line Stage 4 (TEL4) will commence operations on 23 June 2024. Transport Minister Chee Hong Tat announced this during the Ministry of Transport’s Committee of Supply debate on 5 March 2024. The 10.8km TEL4 aims to enhance commuter accessibility by connecting Singapore’s latest rail line with the East Coast region. The 7 Thomson-East Coast Line Stage 4 (TEL4) stations are:

- TE24 Katong Park MRT Station
- TE25 Tanjong Katong MRT Station
- TE26 Marine Parade MRT Station
- TE27 Marine Terrace MRT Station
- TE28 Siglap MRT Station
- TE29 Bayshore MRT Station
This development, constituting the fourth stage of the TEL, aims to enhance connectivity for residents residing in the Marine Parade and East Coast areas. The Land Transport Authority (LTA) stated in December 2023 that the stations had reached a significant level of completion and were undergoing testing procedures.
A TEL4 preview event will be held on 21 June 2024 from 10am to 9pm, offering commuters the opportunity to enjoy complimentary rides. More details will be announced on LTA’s social media pages closer to the event date.
Beyond the 7 new TEL4 stations, Transport Minister Chee Hong Tat reiterated plans to extend the North-East Line (NEL) with the inauguration of Punggol Coast station by 2024 year-end. Moreover, the Hume station along the Downtown Line remains on schedule for opening next year. Further expansion plans include the anticipated opening of Bedok South, Sungei Bedok, and Xilin TEL5 stations in 2026. Additionally, the Circle Line is set to be completed with the addition of 3 new stations, Keppel, Cantonment, and Prince Edward, by 2026.
