Buying Okinawa Bus Pass from Naha Airport Tourist Information Center [International]
The Okinawa Bus Pass is a tourist 1-day or 3-day bus pass for Ryukyu Bus Kotsu, Okinawa Bus, Naha Bus, and Toyo Bus local routes in Okinawa. While Okinawa has a monorail system serving the city, it doesn’t reach out to many parts of the island where I wanted to go. For my first day in Okinawa, the 1-day Okinawa Bus Pass works out for me.
Naha Airport Tourist Information Center [International]

The Naha Airport Tourist Information Center at the International Terminal is just after the arrivals exit. While the official website says that it is closed due to “International Terminal closure”, it is now in fact very open.

The Naha Airport Tourist Information Center [International] opens at 9.00am, so I had just about 10 minutes of waiting for the sales counter to be open. Just in time.
Okinawa Bus Pass Prices

| Okinawa Bus Pass Type | Price |
| 1 Day Pass (Bus Only) | ¥2,500 |
| 1 Day Pass (Bus and Yui Rail) | ¥3,000 |
| 3 Day Pass (Bus Only) | ¥5,000 |
| 3 Day Pass (Bus and 1 Day Yui Rail) | ¥5,500 |
Purchasing the was fuss-free as while the counter sold plenty of tickets, the staff was knowledgeable of the Okinawa Bus Pass and was able to tell me if my planned trips were worth it, as I was buying the lesser-value 1 Day Pass. But alas, it was all that I needed.
Do note that the ¥5,500 3 Day Pass for Bus and Yui Rail is a 3 Day Pass for buses, and a selected 1 Day Pass for Yui Rail only. You do not get 3 days of monorail rides, so check if this combination is of value to you.
This difference can be made up with the ¥500 Klook Yui Rail 1 Day Pass, so if you don’t want to plan ahead, simply buy a normal bus-only pass without Yui Rail, and then buy the Klook Yui Rail 1 Day Pass when needed for better flexibility, since there is no price difference this way.

My Okinawa 1 Day Bus Pass for the first day of my trip. The date of use is stamped by the Naha Airport Tourist Information Center counter staff.
The Okinawa Bus Pass is valid for Ryukyu Bus Kotsu, Okinawa Bus, Naha Bus, and Toyo Bus local routes only. It does not include buses that pass the highway such as limousine buses, line No. 111 and No.117, and regular sightseeing buses.
Naha Airport Bus Stop

As the international terminal bus stop was closed, signs point to the bus stop at the domestic terminal instead.

Heading through the Yuinichi Street shopping area linking the international and domestic terminals.

When the sign points down, head down 1 floor to the bus stop.

The bus stop is just ahead from the escalator.

Luckily for me, there was already a bus waiting. A quick check with the driver that it goes to Naha Bus Terminal, and I am good to start my Okinawa trip.
