The Cable Guia or Guia Hill Cable Car is probably one of Macau’s lesser known tourist attractions. Leading up to Guia Hill for Guia Military Tunnels and Guia Fortress, it is an efficient mode of transport to bring you up, minimising the climbing time needed, though it is slightly further out from the main attractions at Guia Hill. On this trip, I decided to try out this relatively unknown and unused cable car.
The gates to Jardim Da Flora just beside the Jardim Da Flora cable car station.
The cable car line can be seen flying above the gardens.
The small cable cars attached on the line.

Heading into Jardim da Flora cable car station.
Tickets can be purchased from the manned counter just inside.
My ticket for the return ride on the Cable Guia. Fares are MOP$2 (~S$0.34) for a one-way ticket and MOP$3 (~S$0.51) for a return ticket. Very affordable.
Heading up the lift to the boarding platform.
Press 1 to get to the cable car.

A cable car departing just as I missed it.
The next incoming cable car. There is a strange no photography policy here on the Cable Guia, and I was stopped by a station staff after taking this shot.
Inside the small cable car manufactured by CWA Constructions. Each cable car can fit a maximum of just 4 persons, with a combined weight of 320kg.
The small facing benches in the cable car.
The cable car line is a simple straight alignment up Guia Hill.
The “builder plate” (?) of CWA Constructions.
Continuing up the hill.

Residential blocks on the left.
Passing by an opposing cable car.
Approaching Parque Municipal da Colina da Guia cable car station.
Looks like Parque Municipal da Colina da Guia cable car station is the main maintenance and storage station on this short cable car line.
Heading into the arrival platform.
Here at Parque Municipal da Colina da Guia, photography was not allowed in the cable car station.

There is a recreational park just beside Parque Municipal da Colina da Guiacable car station.

Overall, a pretty cheap and pleasant ride on such a quaint cable car system, not something that one would expect in bustling Macau. Now, off to explore some attractions on Guia Hill.
